New website for three California water companies
SutterBasinWater.com needed a simple new website to represent the inter-related on-going work that their three companies are doing to provide regulated water to an agricultural community in the Central Valley of northern California as well as flood protection, drainage, and other local needs. The home page gives equal weight and importance to the logos and columns representing the three companies they jointly serve, each of the three logos are linked to separate pages providing more detail about the specific company.
Using our standard WordPress theme choice of the Genesis Framework and a StudioPress child theme, we added our standard suite of “best practice” plugins as well as photo galleries, MailChimp RSS-to-email integration, automated regular full backups (database and files) to DropBox, Google Analytics Dashboard, embedded pdfs, and other typical integrations and optimizations. We set up website hosting with BlueHost and updated domain registration contact information.
The initial project involved a moderate amount of PhotoShop image cropping, re-sizing, histogram dynamic range optimizations, etc. for the several embedded on-page water project photo galleries. We also recorded a video of “hands-on” mentoring customized for routine administrative tasks so that office staff can now perform ongoing monthly work with their new WordPress skills. Like all of our client projects, we remain available for ongoing support and maintenance.
